First Wednesday in December at Woodside Deli

Woodside Deli This is a reminder that the annual 1st Wednesday in December COMSAT Employees Get-to-gather is rapidly approaching. The event will be held at the Woodside Deli in Germantown. Originally, this was for Labs employees, but now it has evolved to include all COMSAT Alumni, spouses and significant others.

It is a completely informal gathering starting 1:30pm. There has been a lot of discussion about the starting time, and this is the concensus. Many people would like to be home before it gets dark.

We will be seated in a 10 person per table arrangement to better assist wait staff and to simplify ordering/payment for that table.

See the announcement for the 2019 First Wednesday in December.
First Wednesday in December 2019

Pass the word around (some people don't have emails), or are not COMARA members.
Ron Johnson does need to know how many attendees plan to attend. If you are planning to attend, please let Ron know as soon as possible. Use the form at First Wednesday in December on the website or send an email to so I can get a ballpark number of attendees. Looking forward to seeing you all there!!

The event will begin about 1:30pm and we will start ordering about 2:15pm. Although there is not an open bar, beer and wine can be purchased by individuals. Eight to ten person tables will be set up as before. Each table will be responsible for its tab and tip (please be generous to the wait staff).

The Woodside Deli is in the Germantown Commons Shopping Center, near the Giant Grocery. Take the Rt 118 Exit South (It's actually West) from I-270, or the Middlebrook Rd exit. Entrance to the Shopping Center is Middlebrook Rd and Century Blvd.
