Note from Maury Mechanick to Joe Pelton
On behalf of the COMARA Board and the entire COMARA membership, I wanted to express our gratitude to you and Eloise for hosting the 2017 COMARA Fall Social and Annual Meeting at your home in Arlington. We could not have had a more perfect and accommodating venue for the event, and I know that everyone in attendance had a great time. Your cuisine selection was outstanding, and the Octoberfest theme (from pretzel bread to bratwurst and everything in-between) resulted in a truly memorable feast for all of the attendees. I also learned a great deal about the Intelsat-II saga which I had never heard before, and commemorating the 50th Anniversary of its launch was a perfect complement to the rest of the festivities. Your generosity and kindness of heart is greatly appreciated by the entire COMARA family.
Thanks again for everything.
Maury Mechanick, President, COMARA Board of Directors

The Social includes the Annual Meeting. Maury Mechanick gave his report. COMARA is currently adequately funded and organized. We thank all members who have contributed dues as this is an important part of our organization support.

First Wednesday in December (Dec 6) at Woodside Deli

Woodside Deli - Germantown Commons This is a reminder that the annual 1st Wednesday in December COMSAT Employees Get-to-gather is rapidly approaching. The event will be held at the Woodside Deli in Germantown. Originally, this was for Labs employees, but now it has evolved to include all COMSAT Alumni, spouses and significant others.

It is a completely informal gathering starting 1:30pm. There has been a lot of discussion about the starting time, and this is the concensus. Many people would like to be home before it gets dark.
